Hi friends and happy November! I wanted to share a few of my favorites of the month. It will be posted a little after Friday due to technical difficulties!
Urban Decay Naked Basics - This palette is a must, I love the matte selection and it's the perfect size for travel. The eye shadows are highly pigmented and glide on. You can also do a day to night look due to the darker shades in the palette.
COVERGIRL 3-in-1 Foundation - I really love this foundation, it has a matte finish and it will not give you the 'cake face' look. It's a light to medium coverage formula, it's also great for oily and combination skin types. I have worn it alone and with a primer, I feel like the primer wasn't necessary due to the 'lasting power of a primer' that CG states on the packaging. The formula lasted all day for me with no issues. I did set it with a matte powder because I like the matte look. I love that it has SPF 20 as well!
Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream - This stuff smells oh so good! Aside from the lemony sweet scent, it works! My cuticles get a little dry looking due to biting them sometimes, I know, gross habit but I'm sure I'm not the only one and this has helped me stop that... The cream really softens the cuticles and makes your nails appear manicured.
Rockin' Red Hot Lorac Pro Set - I've been wanting this palette for some time now and I am happy I waited. I purchased this set for $39 + tax and a 10% off coupon. It's an amazing value for one of the most sought after eye shadow palettes, eyeliner and a primer. The palette has the best combination of mattes and shimmers to create an endless amount of looks. The shadows are also buttery and pigmented. These were out of stock in most Ulta's, so I would call before going to my local store or purchase online!
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush - I just purchased this brush a few days ago and it's already a favorite. The brush is dense and soft for a flawless foundation application. It doesn't buff away your foundation, it actually applies really well and does not leave any streaks. This is my first Real Techniques makeup brush and definitely not my last!
Wet n Wild Fergie Lipstick in Ferguson Crest Cabernet - While I absolutely adore my MAC lipsticks, I really love a few drugstore brands and this is one of them. It's kind of similar to Rebel by Mac but it's not a true dupe. I really like the deep berry shade and color payoff. If you're looking for a new shade for Fall or want to be daring with lip products, I would suggest these highly affordable lipsticks. They glide on and I'm shocked they are less than $4 each. You can check out the Rebel vs. Ferguson Crest Cabernet comparison via my Instagram page!
MAC Lip Pencil in Nightmoth - Speaking of MAC, this is by far my favorite lip pencil for the season. I like to pair this with just about any lipstick, lip butter or gloss. It's just the perfect dark purplish shade, MAC describes it as 'darkened plum.'
COVERGIRL Whipped Creme Foundation - Another COVERGIRL foundation made it to my list. This one is a little more moisturizing for dryer skin types. This one also just feels amazing on the skin and not heavy. It blends out really well and I use it with a primer. Both of the foundations mentioned make your skin feel very soft and velvet like. I set this with my matte powder as well and it does last all day with touch ups after a few hours.
Aside from beauty products, I wanted to share these:
Justin's Almond Butter - I think I am obsessed with this stuff and it's a healthier alternative to peanut butter and Nutella! It's a little griddy in texture for those that want more of a creamy almond butter. I really like the Honey Almond but there's many to choose from, even a Nutella substitute, if you will! They have sample packets available next to the full jars, so you can purchase a sample before buying a full jar.
Studded Combat Boots - I like to rock these all year but they are especially appreciated during the current season. I really love studs and they give a regular combat boot a little edge and flare! I currently have dark brown but I really want them in all colors. I like wearing mine with leggings and socks peaking out at the top of them, with shorts or even a dress. I think they are so versatile and a great addition to your wardrobe.
