Candy Club Subscription Box

I was lucky enough to receive a Candy Club subscription box. I mean really, who wouldn't love this?!

The concept is really fun and you get to share your preferences so you can receive the perfect three tubs. I received a sour candy box and the candy was fresh and so good. I really liked the presentation and how the candies are displayed in clear tubs. It's a great gift idea year round and again, who wouldn't want this?

Here is one of the questions below and it is overall a really fun website. The price of the box is really reasonable compared to other candy that you would find at a mall location.

I thought the color scheme and the extra detail of sprinkling candies around the tubs was a cute idea.

I shared this box of course and everyone kept commenting how fresh the candy was and what good quality it was. I would recommend the Candy Club subscription for yourself or as a gift.

Also, they were nice enough to give me a $10 off code for my awesome blog readers!

Lush: Happy Daze Gift Box Review

I received this awesome box of Lush bath bombs from my brother for Christmas. I have never tried any of their products.... it's okay if you judge, I would too. I have no idea why it took me so long to try products from Lush. I love the packaging and it comes with two bath bombs and two swirly delights that create a bubble bath.

I could smell them through the packaging and couldn't wait to open it.

The bath bombs were packaged really well and the scent was amazing. I wish you could scratch and sniff these! I wanted to run the water and try them all.

Here is what the Happy Daze gift box comes with:

I like that the brand does not test on animals and their products are handmade. The only one that I wouldn't purchase would be 'Granny Takes a Dip' - I like fruity and citrus scents and it is more on the spice scented end.

I love what it does to your bath water and it is truly relaxing. They have so many more that I want to try. If you like taking baths, these are a must! Also, I think some of them would be fun for kids. They're also a very generous size, you can get a couple of uses of each one or use the whole bath bomb.

Review: Gel Fantasy Nails by KISS in "To the Max"

I hope everyone had a happy holiday, if you celebrate!

I recently went to my holiday party hosted by my job. I worked in the morning and wanted my nails done in the last minute, how I do most things... Going to the nail salon after work was not something I wanted to do nor was it time savvy.

I saw that my friends co-worker had used Kiss gel nails at another holiday party I attended and thought I would give them a try. I went to Target and grabbed the pair for under $10 (pictured above) as I like the nail art and thought they looked festive.

I had never used press on nails up until this point and didn't know what to expect. It came with 24 nails and they fit my small nails! I saw that it came with a sticker adhesive that didn't look like it would keep the nail on securely and glue. I opted for the glue option and quickly put them on, I held each nail after applying glue on the press on and my natural nail for 5-10 seconds.

I immediately loved that they actually looked like I got my nails done at the nail salon but took me less than 10 minutes and less than $10 to achieve. I even received compliments on them as if I got them done professionally- but told everyone they were press on to spread the good word.

To take them off, I used foil, nail polish remover and cotton pads to loosen the glue. I will be trying more press on nails as this was a time + money saver! The nails could easily stay on for a good two weeks. Also, they come in a short and medium length. I selected medium.

Lastly, I like that I did not have the thinning and yellow tint that polish and/or acrylics can leave behind. I did have some glue on a few of my natural nails and I removed it with acetone based nail polish remover.

Have you tried these and what did you think?

e.l.f. cosmetics: NEW Quality Budget Beauty Finds | 2015

Is it just me or has e.l.f. cosmetics really been stepping up their game? I tried the line years ago and the formulation and packaging has come a long way.  I wanted to share my current e.l.f. favorites and next I want to try the new brushes!

I tend to have dry lips and I love their original lip exfoliator but they have came out with two new flavors. One is mint maniac and I am mint obsessed, so I have to purchase it and I have no regrets. I love the color of it too.

$3.00
It has the same exfoliating beads as the original and your lips feel instantly smooth and refreshed. It has a sugar taste to it and does not taste bad. I like to use this before applying liquid lipsticks or a matte lipstick. I also like using it before bed and than slathering on lip balm. I still like the original and I will probably not try the cherry scent as I have heard it has a very artificial taste to it.

Sticking to lip products, I just tried a gloss on a whim and I loved it. I bought the EX-tra Lip Gloss in Michael. I really like how it feels on the lips and it is not really sticky. It also leaves a hint of a lip stain behind which I love. It is not completely opaque but gives the perfect amount of coverage and shine. Your pout will thank you!

$2.00

The next item really shocked me as it is so pigmented and the shades are so flattering. It is their Blush Palette in 'dark.' They also the same palette in 'light' and both are equally a must have.

Top two swatches = top two shades/Bottom two=bottom two shades $6.00
The blushes are not powdery, they are highly pigmented and I was overall really impressed with this palette. I also love that it comes with a mirror and it is convenient for travel.

Last but certainly not least, I bought the highly sought after Illuminating Palette. Yes, you need it in your life! It is so buttery smooth to the touch and I like the subtle yet buildable highlight options that the palette offers.

It also comes with a mirror and four lovely shades to add a nice glow to your face. I also like that these can double as a shadow if you'd like or you can use it for an inner eye highlight. It will not be dramatic like the Balms, Mary-Lou Manizer or Becca's, Champagne Pop but it will give you a pretty, natural glow.

The swatches do it no justice. $6

What are some of your favorite e.l.f. products?

Sephora: Gift Ideas

Tis' the gift giving season! I wanted to recommend six items that every makeup lover would love to have in their collection, including myself!

  1. UD Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette- I mean one word...GWEN! Also, I would recommend this for light to medium skin tones due to most of the palette being on the lighter neutral end.
  2. Too Faced - The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette- The shades are beautiful and it smells like chocolate, doesn't really get better than that..
  3. Foreo Luna -In my opinion, this is way better and less harsh on your skin than a Clarisonic. They have a mini as well and other gadgets that are sure to be an excellent gift.
  4. Lorac Unzipped Gold - No longer sold at Sephora but I've added a link to Nordstrom and you can get free shipping! I really like any of the Unzipped palettes and Lorac shadows are just amazing.
  5. Too Faced - Most Loved Set - These are always great to give as it has the top sellers of the brand in one cute box. it is also a great way to test multiple items from a brand at a really good price point.
  6. Tarte -Shine Bright Statement Lash Essentials - This would make a great stocking stuffer, the quality is great, you get a travel size mascara and who doesn't love a little sparkle!?
I hope you found something on this list for someone or even yourself. Let me know what some of your favorites are!

Borghese: Fall and Holiday Collection

In case you are in the market to try a new line of cosmetics, I would recommend Borghese if you haven't tried their products. It is a beautiful Italian brand that carries cosmetics and skincare, they are well-known for the Fango mud mask which I have used as well.

The Borghese Cura di Vita Protettivo Protective Moisturizer SPF 15 is amazing and it protects your skin from the sun and works on premature and visible skin aging. I have used it for about 2 months and I love how it makes my skin feel. It quickly absorbs and i have used it as a 'primer' before apply my foundation and love the results. It really feels like a higher end product on your skin and over time, this will give you amazing results like I have seen with my own skin.

I think the name says it all with this Eclissare ColorRise Blush in Stunner! It's soooo beautiful for Fall to warm up your face and I would wear this all year round. It appears more shimmery in the pan but gives your cheeks a pretty glow. I even use it for a light contour and the formula is smooth and it applies evenly. It is very pigmented, so a little goes a long way! I think light to medium skin tones would get the most out of this shade.

I love neutrals, so naturally I would gravitate towards the Eclissare Color Eclipse 5 Shades of Torrid. It comes with all of the shades to to create a daytime or nighttime look, from natural to smoky this palette is very versatile. It is also pigmented and it applies really well. I have oily eyelids, so I use a primer. I love that they added a brow bone color (Wisp) with no shimmer and a dark shadow (Sear0 that can be used for a liner and to smoke out the look. Also, it has the perfect balance of mattes and shimmers. The shimmers do not have a chunky glitter but more of a pretty sheen.

Light swatches but the formula is buildable!
Have you tried Borghese? If so, what did you think?

Dr. Brandt: Pores No More primer & PoreDermabrasion exfoliator

I wanted to share two amazing products that were sent to me by the offices of dr. brandt. I have used the products for 3 weeks to really give my honest opinion, per usual. I was expecting that I may like one but I really love both!

So, the pores no more primer is silky smooth and feels so nice on the skin. It goes on as a flesh time and absorbs quickly. I absolutely love that it comes with a pump to make it easy to judge how much product you want. I only apply this to my t-zone and let it absorb before apply my foundation. I have used it by itself and after moisturizing and it works well both ways. It made my foundation look flawless and it does last a little longer when I apply this formula.

It also left me shine free in my t-zone area as I have combination skin. This is one product that does what it says it will!

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

Next, I have used the PoreDermabrasion twice a week for 3 weeks. I really like how my skin feels afterward and look forward to applying it again. It has fine exfoliating elements that are not harsh on my skin. I use as directed and apply it all over my face, using circular motions to gently exfoliate and then I left it sit and penetrate into my skin to let it work its magic. It has a slight minty fresh feel on your face and I happen to like it. I rinse it off, once again using circular motions and my skin feels clean and smooth.

I really like how my foundation applies after this treatment and it helps with shine as well. This product is really worth every penny.

Details from the Sephora website that I found to be true:
-Micro-size Pharmaceutical Grade Crystal: Blend of smaller crystals targeted to deep clean pores and improve skin texture.
-Caviar Lime Extract: Improves exfoliation; promotes a smoother, brighter, and even complexion.
-Salicylic Acid: Helps unclog pores.
-Lentil Seed Extract: Strengthens and tightens the appearance of pore walls while it refines the look of pores.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

Review: Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

Hello lovelies!  I recently purchased this Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, yes, I think I am last one on the planet to purchase this! I am happy I finally tested it out because I love it and and it is a fraction of the cost of the Beauty Blender.

I really like all of the angles of this sponge. It makes it really easy to get around your eyes, nose, and to quickly apply product to your entire face. Also, it does make your liquid foundation or BB cream go on flawlessly with the dabbing motion.

You can also use it to 'bake' your concealer easily with the angles of the sponge while using it dry. Overall, I think it is worth the $6 and works just as good as the Beauty Blender.

Have you used it? If so, what did you think?

Dusty Girls Review

Hey beautiful friends! I recently received three items from Dusty Girls. They have a natural product line that is cruelty free and made to better your skin! The products are made in Australia.

I received the Tinted Earth Cream that comes in two shades, light and medium. I selected light and it seems too light at first but it blends into the skin. The formula provides coverage like a BB cream would and sun protection. You can use a fairly small amount and it will be enough for your entire face. I personally liked the natural coverage and glow it gave me. The only down side to this product was the scent, it is natural so it does not have a pleasant scent. I wanted to point that out in case you are big on scents like I am.

I also received the Natural Mineral Blush in 'Golden Delicious.' This is a really pretty golden terra cotta shade. The blush is very pigmented and can double as an eyeshadow. I think this shade can fit a lot of skin tones. It could probably even be used for a lighter contour. The photo does it no justice, so pretty!

Last but not least, I received the "Argyle Pink" Natural Mineral Lip Shine. It just gives your lips a pretty, natural shine with a hint of pink. It has an oily taste to it that I am not fond of but it is healthier to put on your lips than the other products we tend to purchase. I also loved the cute packaging!

Wearing the lip shine.

Borghese | Fango Active Radiance Facial Oil

I was fortunate enough to have a few items from the Borghese line sent to me for consideration. This product really stands out because it has become a staple for my night routine. After I cleanse and tone my face, the Borghese Fango Radiance Facial Oil is the cherry on top!

I just a apply a few drops and I gently pat it in to my face. It leaves my skin incredibly soft and absorbs quickly. I have been drawn to oil based moisturizers lately as they appear to absorb deeper into the skin. When you wake up it really feels like you had a facial. Just a side note, I have combination skin.

My face feels extra smooth and looks radiant. I have been using this product for about one month and I feel it has improved the texture. I cannot wait to try other products!

Ingredients: caprylic/capric triglyceride, isopropyl, palmitate, isopropyl myristate, isododecane, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, persea gratissima (avocado) oil, vitis vinifera (grape) seed oil, sesamum indicum (sesame) seed oil, macadamia ternifolia seed oil, oenothera biennis (evening primrose) oil, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, hyaluronic acid, collagen amino acids, adenosine triphosphate, hydrolyzed collagen, sea salt (maris sal), sodium sulfate, sodium chloride, sodium carbonate, potassium chloride, tocopheryl acetate, retinyl palmitate, ascorbyl palmitate, water (aqua), propylene glycol, fragrance (parfum), citronellol, coumarin, geraniol, linalool, phenoxyethanol, yellow 11 (cl 47000), green 6 (cl 61565).

Urban Decay | Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

I wanted to really use this for a while to determine if it was a lot of hype or a really good product. I have heard several mixed reviews on it. I can honestly say this is my go-to concealer at the moment as far as high end products.

I like how the UD Naked Skin concealer feels on the skin and the coverage it provides. It's a light formula but yet the coverage is there. It kind of smells like paint but I like it. I also like to quickly set it with powder, although it's not really needed.

You can also use this as a highlight for under the eye, nose, cupid's bow, and mid forehead if you get a shade lighter. It's a versatile product and I heard there was a drugstore dupe for it if you do not want the higher end price. I'll try it out soon and share with you of course!

Cons- I wish you got more product for the price and it's not as hydrating as other concealers that I've tried.

How to: Pictorial for Soft, Fuller Lips like Kylie Jenner

Wanna get Kylie's pout without the lip injection commitment?

Well, I have put together a little pictorial on how I prep and apply my lipstick for the smoothest application. During the process I will let you know how this can assist you with the appearance of fuller lips!
I'll post the step-by-step photos with an explanation below each:

  • I grab my exfoliator, [I'll list all products used at the end of the tutorial. Usually, I damp my lips a bit because it applies better that way.]
  • In a circular motion, I apply the exfoliator all over my lips.
  • #3 is showing that my lips have been scrubbed.
  • I then continue to rub in and 'heat' up the product using my finger.
  • Take a hand towel and continue to exfoliate further as you are wiping it off.
  • Lightly apply your favorite lip balm (not pictured).
I just want to elaborate a little more as to why I added steps #4 and #5 for you. These steps assist with bringing blood circulation to the lips and help plump them. I skip this step on a regular basis because my lips are naturally fuller. If you have naturally full lips, you can skip these steps and just smack/rub your lips together to ensure all of the dead skin is being removed. This can be done a few times a week for everyone. I tend to have drier lips, so this really helps me a lot. Also, you can use any lip exfoliator.
You can also use a tooth brush, a towel or sometimes I use my cleansing system and I quickly go over them with it. My preferred method is a yummy scrub though!

  • To make sure my lipstick last just a little longer, I pat on translucent powder or any powder that you may have.
  • Take your lip liner and line your lips.
  • Then, I take the lip liner and fill in my lips.
  • I apply the lipstick that closely matches my lip liner.
  • Ta-dahhh! You now have soft, fuller lips and a pretty pout of lipstick!
If you want, you can repeat steps #6-#9 to really create a barrier. I usually just do this once and throw my lip products in my bag for touch ups!
Products used:

e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator - clear

Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose Kiss

MAC Cosmetics Cherry lip pencil and Ruby Woo lipstick

Buxom Customizable Eyeshadow Bar Palette

I wanted to share a palette that I've been enjoying. It's the Buxom Customizable Eyeshadow Bar Palette. I love that they make it affordable and basically give you customizable tray free when you order 6 shadows. I think the price point is really good at $40.00 ($85.00 value with shadows) to select the shades you want and you can easily swap them out. The shadows are pigmented but not too pigmented and last all day. I prefer them with a primer because I have oily eyelids.

I really like that you receive the palette case and you pop in your shades that you've selected. I think it is a fun concept.

I customized the following palette and I like neutrals so these shades were perfect. I also like to test new palettes/shadows with neutrals first.

The case is perfect for travel or being on the go.

From left to right: Bold Bling, Mink Magnet, Invite Only, Spoiled Sexy, Star Treatment, and Big Spender

Here are the swatches of the shadows with and without flash.
